A native of the Netherlands, Eric Veroliemeulen began his career in the hospitality industry at the age of 16 with an internship in Viseu, Portugal at the Hotel Montebello. Returning to Amsterdam on completion of the internship, he studied Hotel Management at the Hotel School of Amsterdam.
In 2001, Eric began his BA in Tourism and Leisure Management at the University INHOLLAND in Amsterdam, gaining experience as a waiter/butler in the five-star deluxe venues of Hotel the Grand and Hotel de l’Europe.
Through his studies, Eric continued his professional development with a management internship at Stage Entertainment International, a company which specializes in musical and live-show entertainment.
In 2005 he graduated from the University INHOLLAND with his thesis regarding the internal communication of the KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Human Resources Department.
In 2006 Eric moved to the United States to work as an onboard officer onboard for Holland America, where he was responsible for the special restaurants and VIP lounges.
In July 2007 he moved to Italy to study Italian and to expand his career, working for seven years as Managing Director of boutique hotel, Villa La Palagina in the hills of Tuscany. In mid-2015, Eric joined the team as General Manager at the famous Medici wine estate – Villa Medicea di Lilliano. The start-up project boasts award-winning olive oil, high-valued wines with a history reaching back more than 100 years, and new accommodation in the historical buildings of the Estate.
